With a verbal quote of "a couple of hundred dollars to fix" we decided to book the car in to the 'car doctors' and get the ever increasing grinding noise fixed, so with Ry packed with lunch and rain jacket and miss Ella bundled up and packed into her car seat with toast and her fav toy of the week "duckie" (sent by aunty lana for easter) we headed for Ryans work then onto the mechanics with promises of it being ready by lunchtime... which i quickly calculated in my head would work out perfectly with Ellas morning sleep, so with this all in mind and the increasing pressure to get home and sort out finances so we could actually pay the bill, i quickly lugged ellas car seat into the courtesy car ( with her still strapped in) and headed through the rain for home, only to pull up the driveway with the dawning thought of the house key still being attached to my car keys at the mechanics and to ' hide spare house key outside' still on the to do list attached to the fridge, so after not much luck in calling ry to see if he was working near by and had his key, ella and i headed back out through 9am peak hour traffic to aunty hayleys work in the hope that she would have hers...... thank goodness she did so this time armed with a take away coffee and house key for mama and a packet of raisins for missy we headed back across town for home... only to discover on returning home a missed call from the mechanics saying "we have a slight problem"... cue sinking feeling in stomach -with result being quote being upped to at least $500 and car probably not being ready for another couple of days... haha oh the joy!! Anyway Ellas tucked up in bed for her morning nap - which today seems to be alot longer than usual (not that 'im complaining!) and i'm curled up on couch looking out the window at how grey and cold it looks out there attempting to create a blog! Which will hopefully keep our family and friends a little bit more updated with what's going on in our wee slice of paradise.
